ABOUT
Derek Proch is a composer, producer, and engineer based out of Boston, MA. Since 2016 he’s been working as a professional in the music industry, gaining experience through a wide variety of projects, ranging from artist production and development, to TV/Film composition, to writing music for commercial and licensing use. He was also an instructor at Icon Collective Music Production School in Los Angeles, CA from 2018-2022.
Derek started to gain momentum in his music career as a member of the electronic duo Paperwings, racking up millions of streams since 2017. He has since had further success with a rock electronic project called Byegone, is a member of the TV/Film composing duo Montauk Season, and has released post-rock and ambient music under the names Life Below Elephants and Deep Seek, amassing over 30 million streams across all of his projects.
In addition to working on his own projects, Derek has also done production work for many other artists, including 30 Seconds To Mars (“AMERICA” album, 2018), Dylan Matthew (multiple singles, including “Kissing Other Boys” and “Don’t Forget”), and Timeflies (“Crossroads”).
